SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Paralympians held a victory parade to celebrate their London Paralympics performance on Saturday.

Team Singapore returned with two medals — a silver and a bronze — won by equestrian rider Laurentia Tan.

VIP treatment awaited the eight athletes, as eight Aston Martins ferried them for the parade starting at Hougang stadium.

The entourage included an open—top double decker bus for the rest of the party.

Orchard Road was part of the route with the hour—long journey ending at the Gardens by the Bay, where some 100 supporters, including Acting Sports Minister Chan Chun Sing, greeted them together with Bhangra dancers.

The three equestrian riders made a grand entrance on horses.

All the athletes took to the stage to thank everyone for their support.
