The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have wrapped up their three-day visit to Singapore by visiting the Kranji War Memorial this morning, where they laid a wreath.

The Memorial honours World War Two fighters, mostly men and women who fought under the British flag as forces and regiments of the former colonies of India and Malaya.

The wreath-laying ceremony lasted some ten minutes, after which the Last Post was played, signalling the start of a minute's silence.

The royal couple then met veterans and serving military staff from Singapore, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

The Royal Couple will next visit Malaysia later today, as part of their Asia-Pacific tour to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
