Rivervale Plaza ceiling springs leaks after afternoon downpour
SINGAPORE: Shop owners at Rivervale Plaza have reported of ceiling leaks after heavy rains this afternoon.
A tuition centre on the second floor of the mall was one of the tenants affected.
Also affected are a hardware store and a stationery shop that are located on the second floor.
The three tenants estimate the amount of damage to be at least S$30,000 in total.
The Punggol East mall has been undergoing renovation works since August last year.
Both the Punggol East MP Ms Lee Li Lian, as well as the MP for the neighbouring Pasir—Ris Punggol GRC, Mr Teo Ser Luck have gone to the mall to inspect the damage.
