Resource centre for children and youths with visual impairment opens
A new resource centre that provides structured support for children and youths with visual impairment has been opened.
Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob officially opened the centre today.
iC2 PrepHouse was set up as a charity one year ago, and the resource centre hopes to reach out to even more visually impaired children and families who need support.
It also aims to help parents and families understand and cope with the changing needs of children with visual impairment.
This is done through counselling, assessments and guidance from trained professionals.
The goal is to help those with visual impairments to live independently.
