SINGAPORE: More than 5,000 residents in the South West District came together for a special event near Jurong Point shopping centre on Sunday.

It was cupcakes galore as residents tried to create a Racial Harmony Cupcake Mosaic for the National Day Parade Roadshow.

Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, who is also an advisor in the West Coast GRC, added finishing touches to the cupcakes before sharing it with the residents.

The roadshow is part of efforts to get residents from the area all pumped up for National Day.

The event was also held in conjunction with Racial Harmony Month in July.

The NDP roadshow will be moving on to Causeway Point Shopping Centre from July 7—8, before its final stop at Marina Square Shopping Centre from July 21—22.
