SINGAPORE: Some 1,200 participants relived the good old days through a singing session at the old Tanjong Pagar Railway Station on Saturday afternoon.
Participants were joined by Acting Minister for Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing and other MPs from Tanjong Pagar GRC and Radin Mas.
The event is part of the inaugural PAssionArts Singing Festival.
Participants belted out 35 songs in English, Malay, Tamil and Mandarin.
The festival is organised by singing enthusiasts from eighty Community Arts and Culture Clubs under the People’s Association.
Over at Jurong East, Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam joined some 3,000 residents in the singing session as well.
They ranged from the classic 80s to other contemporary hits.
The singing festival is on till 16 December.
