SINGAPORE: Rector of St Francis Xavier Major Seminary William Goh will be the next Archbishop in charge of Catholics in Singapore.
The 55—year—old’s appointment was announced in a bulletin of the Holy See Press Office, dated December 29.
The announcement was shared with church—goers at mass on Sunday.
Channel NewsAsia understands from church—goers that the rector will take over from April next year.
Archbishop Nicholas Chia is the current Catholic Archbishop of Singapore.
Archbishop Chia will retire after he turns 75 in April.
