Punggol East polls close
SINGAPORE: Polling stations for the Punggol East by—election closed at 8pm on Saturday.
Ballot boxes have arrived at North Vista Secondary School and Rivervale Primary School —— the two counting centres for the by—election.
Supporters of the People’s Action Party’s Koh Poh Koon cheered him on as the vote counting gets underway.
Dr Koh is expected to leave PAP’s base soon.
Ms Lee Li Lian of the Workers’ Party was seen at the North Vista Secondary counting centre.
She was joined by Reform Party’s Kenneth Jeyaretnam and Singapore Democratic Alliance’s Desmond Lim.
