Public housing development at King George's Ave
A 1.23 hectare plot of land at the junction of Syed Alwi Road and King George's Avenue will be developed for public housing.
The land comprises mainly vacant State land and a private industrial property at 16 King George's Avenue.
In a joint statement, HDB and the Singapore Land Authority, SLA, say the Government will be acquiring the private property under the Land Acquisition Act to facilitate the development.
SLA has gazetted the land affected by the acquisition today.
The statement adds that more information on the future public housing development will be provided when the plans are ready.
