Providers of eldercare facilities must win community over: Gan

Health Minister Gan Kim Yong has urged providers of eldercare facilities to work closely with the community, so that residents will accept such facilities and not view them as a burden or liability.
On its part, the government has to engage and reach out to residents to get them to understand the needs of Singapore's ageing population.
Mr Gan said this at the end of a dialogue session with residents, as part of his walkabout in the Bukit Timah division this morning.
