Prices of apartments dipped 2% in April
Prices of resale non-landed private homes in April hit a 16-month low.
Data from the Singapore Real Estate Exchange, or SRX, showed that prices slipped 1.7 per cent last month.
Prices in the city fringe area recorded the biggest drop at 3.6 per cent, followed by a 2.3 per cent fall in the core central region.
But resale home prices in the suburban region inched up 0.4 per cent.
The SRX report also found that resale transaction volume fell nearly 27 per cent on-year, with about 476 units apartment units resold.
But on a month-on-month basis, resale transactions jumped about 25 per cent, the highest resale volume since October last year.
On the rental market segment, rental prices rose by 0.2 per cent after reaching a 27-month low in March.
