Police officer suspect in Kovan double murder interdicted from service
Police have confirmed that police officer Iskandar Rahmat, who was charged this morning with the double murder at Kovan, has been interdicted from service.
In response to media queries, police said this follows his arrest and the decision to charge him in court.
As court proceedings against Iskandar are ongoing, police cautioned against engaging in speculation that could perpetuate misleading information.
Police added that this could cause further distress to the families involved in the case.
Iskandar will be remanded at Central police division for further investigations.
He'll appear in court next Monday.
