Police bust syndicates selling fake products
Police have arrested 11 people for selling counterfeit products and fake goods with an estimated street value of $300,000 were seized.
They were arrested in a police raid on six shops within a shopping mall along Scotts Road yesterday.
The arrests were the result of extensive probes over the past few months into the syndicates' activities.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
Persons found guilty of selling or distributing infringing goods with falsely applied trade mark may be fined up to a maximum of $100,000, or an imprisonment term which may extend to five years, or both.
