PM Lee urges the Association of Muslim Professionals on continuity of efforts
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has asked the Association of Muslim Professionals to focus on two priorities.
They are to continue to improve the socio-economic performance of the Malay Muslim community and to help all segments of community.
Mr Lee was speaking at the self-help group's third national convention this afternoon.
Mr Lee said he is happy to see that the priorities of fostering progressive and cohesive families and creating a community of inspired learners are in the association's report.
He urged the association to work with the government and partner other Malay Muslim Organisations to preserve continuity of efforts and minimise duplication.
Mr Lee added that the government will continue to support the efforts of the Malay Muslim Organisations and back them up with national programmes.
