SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has urged the Singapore football team, now in Bangkok for the second leg of the Suzuki cup, to do its best.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi, he urged the team to fight to win.
Mr Lee said though he will be attending a wedding back home, his SMS will be on. "3—1, better fight to win, because if you don’t fight to win, I think you are not showing the Singapore spirit, and the way to do well is to decide you are to go do your best. Because we are all going to be cheering for you. I can’t be in Bangkok, but I will be watching," he said.
