Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong says the government's immediate priority is to solve housing and transport issues.

He was commenting on Budget 2013 which was unveiled yesterday.

In a Facebook post, Mr Lee said at the same time, we must upgrade our economy through productivity and innovation.

Mr Lee said the Budget will help businesses cope with much lower foreign worker growth over the next few years.

It also contains schemes to enable every Singaporean to benefit from growth.

Mr Lee added that the government will also focus on promoting social mobility, especially through education, so that children from less privileged backgrounds are not
disadvantaged in our society.
