PM Lee meets Chinese President Hu
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong met Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing today.
Mr Lee is on a six-day visit to China.
He arrived in Chengdu in southwest China on Sunday.
Mr Lee told media in Singapore before leaving for China that the two nations can work together to make their economies more resilient.
He said Asia is now the brightest spot in the global economy.
Hence, Asian economies should work together to make up for the absence of demand in Western countries.
Singapore is a major investor in China, having spent some US$6 billion there last year.
