PM Lee Hsien Loong visits India for ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit New Delhi from today till Friday to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit.
A statement from the Prime Minister's Office says the Commemorative Summit caps a year-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations.
The theme of the summit is "ASEAN-India Partnership for Peace and Shared Prosperity"
Following tomorrow's plenary session, Mr Lee and ASEAN leaders will attend the joint ASEAN-India Cultural Performance and be hosted to a banquet dinner by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.
There will also be a ceremonial flag-down of the ASEAN-India Car Rally on Friday.
PM Lee will also meet local politicians and industrialists.
During Mr Lee's absence, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean will be the Acting Prime Minister.
