Photos with Laura Ong taken at grassroots retreat, says Teo Ser Luck

SINGAPORE: Minister of State for Trade and Industry Teo Ser Luck has responded to photos of him taken with Ms Laura Ong that have been circulating online.

Ms Ong is the woman linked to the recent resignation of former Speaker of Parliament Michael Palmer.

Mr Teo, who is also MP for Pasir Ris—Punggol GRC and Mayor of North East District, told the media that the photos were taken during a previous grassroots event.

A total of 92 photos of Ms Ong were posted on a website on Wednesday afternoon.

Several photos show Mr Teo and Ms Ong together.

The anonymous owner of the website said the photos were reposts from various Facebook users.

In response, Mr Teo said Ms Ong had headed the Punggol South Constituency Office where he used to be an MP.

This was before she was posted to Pasir Ris West Constituency Office.

The photos were taken during a grassroots organisation retreat for staff and volunteers, said Mr Teo.
