Paralympian Laurentia Tan honoured at Athletes Achievement Awards
SINGAPORE: Equestrian Laurentia Tan has been honoured for her achievements at this year’s London Paralympics.
Dressed to her nines, Ms Tan was all smiles when presented with a cheque worth S$150,000.
The 33—year—old, who has cerebral palsy and is also deaf, brought home silver and bronze medals.
The money is given out under the Athletes Achievement Award scheme, which entitled Ms Tan to S$50,000 for her bronze and $100,000 for her silver.
