Only 1 queue number, 1 bill & same day admission for patients at National Heart Centre
The National Heart Centre (NHC) is streamlining its queue system and redesigning its patient admission system ahead of the opening of its new 12-storey building.
The queue system, known as One Queue One Bill, means that patients only need one queue number for all the clinics within the NHC.
They'll also be able to pay a consolidated bill at the end of their visit.
And through its same day admissions process, patients going for simple cardiac surgeries, such as a coronary artery bypass graft, don't have to be warded a day before the surgery.
Pre-operation procedures, such as blood tests, can now be done a week before the surgery during the pre-surgery checkup.
NHC's new building is expected to be operational in March next year.
