SINGAPORE: The Fathers Action Network (FAN) under the Dads for Life movement, has commissioned a survey to better understand the effect of policies at workplaces on fathers.
FAN Chairman, Richard Seow, announced this and other upcoming projects at the movement’s 3rd anniversary celebrations on Saturday.
Results of the survey will be made available in February 2012, and will also influence the programming of the Dads@Workplaces initiative.
Mr Seow said the network’s long—term goal is to turn fatherhood into an aspiration for all men.
"It has been my personal aspiration that by 2020, fatherhood is something to be desired and celebrated, and young men will define success in life not so much by their career nor academic qualifications, but more by their being a good, responsible father and role model to their own children" Mr Seow said as he spoke about his own hopes for the nation.
The celebrations saw the movement’s partners and their families invited to a private screening of Jack Neo’s newest film, "Ah Boys to Men".
