Olympics has been great for Team Singapore: President Tony Tan
SINGAPORE: Singapore President Tony Tan on Friday gave an overview of Team Singapore’s performance at the 2012 London Olympics to date.
The president has been in London since the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics last week.
Dr Tan said: "It has been a great Games for the athletes, and for Singapore. We still have another 9 or 10 days more, and we hope to see a few more successes.
"But I think it has been wonderful and I hope our participation in this Olympics would further spur Singaporeans to aim for excellence, as well as to emphasise the importance of sports in our society, in Singapore."
