SINGAPORE: The National University of Singapore (NUS) has broken into the Global Top 100 of research institutions in the world.
It jumped to 76th spot in the Nature Publishing Index 2012, which measures the output of research articles in Nature research journals. In 2011, it was in 110th position.
In the Asia Pacific, NUS is ranked ninth, up from 16th place in 2011.
Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, NUS President, said the university has done ground—breaking research in areas such as cancer. This, he said, have significant impact within the international research community.
