NTUC's $500,000 family-friendly grant for companies to be disbursed in August
Companies will have a new incentive to create a family-friendly workplace, when the $500,000 U Flex Family-Friendly Grant is rolled out in a pilot from next month.
More details of the $500,000 grant, first announced in May, were shared today by NTUC's Assistant Secretary General, Cham Hui Fong.
50 companies will be given 10 thousand dollars each under the grant, which is funded by the government.
To qualify for the grant, companies must have successfully applied for the WorkPro Work-Life Developmental Grant.
And they should have at least 2 family care leave or family support schemes above the legislated requirements.
Ms Cham says they hope to encourage companies to do more to attract working caregivers to return and remain in the workplace.
She was speaking at the Best Companies for Mums awards ceremony, where 69 companies and individuals were honoured for helping their employees achieve better work-life harmony.
