NTUC working with employers to provide meaningful jobs

Singapore's labour movement is working with employers to provide more meaningful job opportunities for members who are mature Professionals, Managers and Executives or PMEs.

At its U Live Symposium today, it offered 15 PME job openings, which pay at least 2,000 dollars.

This was the first time that a wider array of jobs, including middle management positions, were on offer.

There were a total of 1,300 job openings at the symposium.

President of the National Trades Union Congress, Diana Chia, says it's important to ensure that its mature PME workers stay engaged and have meaningful employment.
