NTUC FairPrice pledges $5m to 28th SEA Games
NTUC FairPrice and FairPrice Foundation have pledged $5 million to the 28th SEA Games next year, hosted by Singapore.
The games is one of the key events in celebration of Singapore's Golden Jubilee.
The donation is the largest that FairPrice and FairPrice Foundation have made to a sporting event to date.
The sponsorship will include $2 million cash from FairPrice Foundation and $3 million in kind from NTUC FairPrice.
FairPrice and FairPrice Foundation's Chairman, Ng Ser Miang, says the donation's in line line with FairPrice Foundation's goal to promote nation-building and community bonding through sports.
Chairman of the games' sponsorship and marketing advisory sub-committee, Richard Seow, says he's very encouraged by Corporate Singapore's support so far.
