NTU introduces new second major in food science and technology for undergraduates
Nanyang Technological University, NTU, will be introducing a second major in Food Science and Technology for undergraduates in the new academic year starting in August.
The new major will be open to 30 top students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Chemistry and Biological Chemistry.
This was announced at a signing ceremony with Wageningen University from the Netherlands, one of the world's leading research centres in food science and technology.
Half of the NTU modules will be conducted by Wageningen University's professors, who'll deliver online learning modules and lectures via video conferencing.
They will also fly to Singapore to supervise the practical classes at NTU laboratories.
Upon graduation, the students will receive a certificate in food science and technology in addition to their degree conferred by NTU.
