NParks conducting additional inspection of trees during stormy weather
The National Parks Board is conducting additional inspection of trees in view of the current stormy weather.
This comes after about 100 fallen trees were found in the wooded areas of Changi Beach Park over the weekend.
13 trees near the tracks at the Park were also uprooted.
NParks said heavy rains over the weekend softened the soil in the area.
About 10 trees were affected by the strong winds in other parts of Singapore.
No reports of injuries were received, while all the trees causing obstruction have been cleared.
NParks has advised the public not to visit parks and nature reserves during and just after a storm.
