SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said the country’s population challenges are difficult and complex.
He said it is not just the headline number which matters, but getting the right mix of citizens and non—citizens, creating exciting opportunities for Singaporeans, and building a city that offers a high quality of life and a nation that is the best for all.

, Mr Lee said the goal of the White Paper on Population is to ensure the country continues thriving, for the sake of the younger generation.
Mr Lee invited Singaporeans to read the White Paper to understand what is at stake.

Parliament will debate the White Paper next week.
