NLB's mini Mollys
The National Library Board has launched two new Mobile library buses to bring the joy of reading to more children in Singapore's pre-schools.
The buses, affectionally known as "mini Mollys", will join NLB's existing mobile library bus, "Molly".
Unlike the full sized bus "Molly", the "mini Molly" is only 7.5 meters long.
It'll be able to visit pre-schools and welfare homes with smaller car parks.
Each will carry about 1500 books.
Librarians stationed on-board will also organise activities such as storytelling, arts and craft and sing-a-long stations to enhance the children's reading experience.
The new mobile libraries are expected to benefit 48,000 children from 160 pre schools a year.
