NHB signs MOU with British Museum to boost cooperation
The National Heritage Board and the British Museum have agreed to boost co-operation and facilitate greater exchanges between them.
This would include joint research projects, exhibitions and loan exchanges, as well as exchanges of curators and staff.
These exchanges will last five years until 2019.
The two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding today to mark the start of their closer ties.
Speaking at the event, Culture, Community and Youth Minister Lawrence Wong says the MOU marks an important milestone for Singapore's museum and heritage scene.
Mr Wong added that the National Museum of Singapore is planning to host a special exhibition in 2015 that will feature the British Museum's collection of various world cultures.
