Ng Ser Miang steps down as Chairman of NTUC FairPrice
After nine years at the helm, Ng Ser Miang, has stepped down as Chairman of NTUC FairPrice.
He did not seek re-election at the cooperative's Annual General Meeting today.
Current board member, Bobby Chin, was elected as the new chairman.
NTUC FairPrice says under Mr Ng's leadership, the group has grown from strength to strength while continuously upholding its social mission to moderate the cost of living.
Under his leadership, group revenue also doubled to $2.8 billion in the last financial year.
A foundation was also launched to advance FairPrice's philanthropic efforts in a more systematic, focused and sustainable manner.
Mr Chin joined the Board in February last year.
He was the former Managing Partner of Accounting firm, KPMG Singapore.
