New water sports recreation centre in Marina Bay by 2014
SINGAPORE: Water sports enthusiasts can look forward to a new recreational facility in Marina Bay by 2014.
The latest water—venture outlet by the People’s Association will cater to all types of water sports from kayaking to dragon—boating.
The facility will sit on about one hectare of land at the northern tip of the Gardens by the Bay, providing visitors with a boat—side view of Singapore’s latest downtown attractions.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sunday and labour chief Lim Swee Say watched on as hundreds of residents enjoyed a day out on the waters.
