New resort at Downtown East on track to open in 2015
A new resort at Downtown East is slated to open by the second quarter of next year.
NTUC Club says the resort will comprise 387 rooms, including suites with separate dining and living rooms, to meet the different needs of guests.
It'll also be bigger that the present Costa Sands Resort.
It's part of a redevelopment project for Downtown East.
The redevelopment targetted for completion in late 2017 aims to offer guests at Downtown East an integrated leisure experience.
Along with the new resort, guests will enjoy an expanded Wild Wild Wet water park and more retail, dining and entertainment options.
NTUC Club has also decided not to renew the land lease for the nearby Costa Sands Resort located at Jalan Loyang Besar which expires in August.
The two other Costa Sands Resort properties at Downtown East and Sentosa will remain open for those looking for an affordable and easy staycation venue.
