New online learning service

New online learning service

Learning gets easier with the launch of an educational online platform today.

The brand new AssessMe has over 3,300 English, Mathematics and Science digital worksheets for primary school students.

These worksheets are automatically graded and the scores will then be tabulated online.

From next year onwards, the online platform will also include materials for Chinese and secondary school subjects.

The online learning service is a tie-up between POPULAR and Starhub, and it's hosted on the new StarHub Learning Hub platform.

The content on AssessMe will be regularly updated by POPULAR's team of former teachers.

This was unveiled at the opening of BookFest 2013 today.

Minister of State for Trade and Industry Teo Ser Luck was the Guest-of-Honour.

"I think the broadcast and the media is coming in strongly onto learning and books. And in this case, StarHub's partnership with POPULAR is one way of using different platforms to cultivate learning. Make learning more accessible and easier. We have to make progress for such an instance. I think there's a big market for e-learning."

The books and stationery festival, which returns for a 7th year, features some 650 booths by international publishers and distributors.
