New mobile app on ergonomics at workplace
Governments and industry need to innovate and come up with new solutions and programmes to get the workforce personally involved in ensuring good safety and health outcomes.
One such initiative is a mobile application for Singapore's increasingly tech-savvy workforce.
The newergo@work app is developed by Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health Institute.
It'll help to raise awareness on good ergonomics among office employees and help prevent work-related health issues due to poor postures.
It takes photographs of sitting postures, evaluates and suggests possible areas for improvement.
Users can also get tips on how to improve postures and do simple stretching exercises.
