SINGAPORE: Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs Masagos Zulkifli said a new Home Team clubhouse will be sited within the upcoming Tampines Town Hub, which will be ready in 2016.
He said this will allow members to have access to a wide range of amenities at the Town Hub, such as a mega community club, bowling alley, swimming pool, performing arts theatre, library, and F&B outlets, in addition to the clubhouse facilities.
Mr Masagos said this approach of leveraging other facilities and developments will be adopted wherever possible in the redevelopment of HomeTeamNS clubhouses in the future.
A Singapore Police Force news release said Mr Masagos also revealed that HomeTeamNS would be upgrading its clubhouses at Bukit Batok, Balestier and Chinatown.
He added that HomeTeamNS has commissioned a group comprising both NSmen and regular officers to draw up a redevelopment plan.
The group took in feedback and ideas from the wider HomeTeamNS and National Servicemen community.
Mr Masagos was speaking at the graduation parade of the 56th batch of Police National Service (PNS) Officer Cadets Course and 148th intake of PNS full—time Officers Basic Course on Tuesday.
