Nation's first workplace happiness survey

Nation's first workplace happiness survey

How happy are you at work and how does that measure up to the national population?

You will soon be able to find out through a national survey targeted at employees in Singapore.

The first of its kind survey aims to help organisations identify what's needed to build a positive workforce.

It's developed by the Singapore Human Resources Institute and consulting firm, Align Group.

Vice-President of the institute, Goh Jin Hian, hopes this national survey is able to drive positive change in organisations.

"An organisation looking at the results will be driven to conduct the survey for its own organisation and understand the specific reasons behind the results. And in so doing, it should be able to implement action plans across the organisation, from the leadership, the management, line staff and to actual individuals."

The 30-question survey will explore what contributes to happiness at work, and highlights the existing condition that supports or works against employee well-being.

The Labour Movement is lending its support to the survey by extending it to its 800,000 members.

Individuals can do the survey online atwww.happyworkplace.sg

The survey will be open till the 20th of July and results will be released in September.
