SINGAPORE: Efforts to engage youth in a more meaningful way got a leg—up on Thursday, with the National Youth Council inking partnerships with four youth—oriented organisations — Heartware Network, SYINC, Gone Adventurin’ and Voluntarius (Singapore).
It is hoped that with these organisations on board, more youths can get involved in the community both at home and overseas.
To achieve this, the National Youth Council has pumped in S$340,000 to help the organisations run their programmes.
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong also exchanged ideas with key players in the youth sector, as part of the ongoing National Conversation.
