Movie-goers upset after last-minute cancellation
Some 100 movie-goers were upset after the screening of a movie premiere was cancelled last night, at the last minute.
The 9pm show of Tamil movie "Veeram" at Rex Cinemas near Little India was called off at 8.50pm, apparently after some distribution issues.
The crowd of mostly foreign workers, began to gather outside the cinema.
And police officers were called in.
Police say the parties involved were advised accordingly and the company managed to resolve the matter amicably with the affected movie-goers.
Another screening of the movie at just after midnight, was also cancelled.
Staff said those with tickets can claim a refund or watch the show at the 11.45am screening today.
