Mosque leaders urge Muslims to correct anti-Islam video by portraying true teachings
Friday sermons in mosques across Singapore have addressed the aftermath of the anti-Islamic video that has led to protests around the world.
Mosque leaders urged their congregation to correct the accusations - by portraying the true teachings of Islam.
They said one should acquire knowledge and understanding, nurture excellent families and community, as well as contribute to the well-being of humanity and global peace.
Religious leaders pointed out that the irresponsible action of a small group of individuals is uncalled for and is regrettable.
But they stressed that reacting through violence will only affirm the wrongful impression portrayed in the film.
