More videos to help Singaporeans understand policy: Sim Ann
The public can expect more videos and materials to help them understand complex policies.
Some will be similar to the comedy-style ones produced in Chinese dialect to promote the Pioneer Generation Package.
Minister of State for Communications and Information Sim Ann said this in Parliament today.
While videos explaining the Pioneer Generation Package in the four official languages have already been produced, light-hearted videos in Malay and Tamil will be released soon.
"I think it was not just the use of dialect but the fact that the use of a comedy skit format that made the videos popular. We then decided to apply that to other languages as well."
Currently, videos explaining the Pioneer Generation Package in Chinese dialect are available on YouTube and Channel 8 on Friday mornings.
The ministry will also look into harnessing paid channels in high-traffic areas to get its message across.
