SINGAPORE: More than 70 people were arrested for suspected involvement in unlawful activities at popular entertainment belts.
The suspects, 26 males and 45 females, were aged between 18 and 46.
They were arrested for various offences including being members of unlawful societies, drug offences and vice—related offences.
The police—led operation lasted throughout Saturday night and ended early Sunday morning.
Checks were conducted in areas such as Orchard Road, Clarke Quay, Geylang and Raffles Boulevard to detect and deter criminal activities.
The operation was coordinated by the Criminal Investigation Department and involved officers from the Police Land Divisions as well as the Central Narcotics Bureau.
