More help for firms to raise productivity with grant, training support & SME Talent Programme
The government is doing more to help individual firms raise productivity.
It's making it easier and faster for businesses to make claims for the Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC).
A Land Productivity Grant will also be introduced to help companies intensify the use of land in Singapore.
In addition, training for Singaporean workers will be boosted at all levels of the workforce.
The Workfare Training Support scheme will be enhanced for lower-wage workers.
An SME Talent Programme will be launched to encourage students of polytechnics and institutes of technical education to work for small and medium enterprises.
Companies will also have easier access to government support schemes.
These enhancements will cost the government about $500 million over three years.
