SINGAPORE: More people are flocking to Johor this June school holidays.
Industry players said they have seen a 20 per cent to 30 per cent increase in demand for tour packages to the Malaysian state, compared to the same time last year.
Demand for coach services has also been on the rise with the opening of the Johor Premium Outlets last year.
One operator said six to eight buses headed to the outlets last weekend, almost doubled the number of other weekends.
Starting next month, Transtar Travel has decided to up the number of coaches going to the outlets.
It will provide services on weekdays instead of just weekends.
Operators expect demand to increase with the opening of Legoland in September.
