MOH pilots health analytics platform next year
The Health Ministry will be piloting a health analytics platform to better support the healthcare sector next year.
Health Minister Gan Kim Yong says this platform will be capable of linking data sources from public healthcare institutions and healthcare partner organisations.
It'll also allow individuals to contribute data from self-monitoring devices.
Mr Gan says analysing all these anonymised data could lead to new insights into better patient care.
He says it's also hoped that it would lead to collaboration with industry partners on innovative healthcare IT prototypes and solutions.
The Minister was speaking at a conference on big data and analytics in healthcare.
