MOH Holdings corporate communications director resigns

SINGAPORE: The head of the corporate communications department at MOH Holdings has resigned after it was brought to her attention that she had breached a core company policy.

MOH Holdings found out that a senior executive of one of the vendors it engages is a cousin of the former director of corporate communications Adelaide Chang.

When Miss Chang was asked to declare her interests during a recent procurement exercise, she said on July 3 that she had no conflict of interest with the vendor.

This failure constituted a breach of MOH Holdings’ core company policy.

Though there was no evidence of fraud or criminal wrong—doing, MOH Holdings decided to terminate Miss Chang’s services, and met with her to communicate these matters.

Miss Chang offered to resign instead.

MOH Holdings accepted Miss Chang’s resignation with full waiver of the contractual notice period and all associated payments.

MOH Holdings is the holding company of Singapore’s public healthcare assets.

These include healthcare institutions like the National University Health System, National Healthcare Group, Eastern Health Alliance and Singapore Health Services, Alexandra Health Pte Ltd as well as Jurong Health Services.

Some of the healthcare services MOH Holdings provides include developing a national IT framework for Singapore’s public healthcare sector and a system for joint recruitment of healthcare professionals.
