SINGAPORE: On Friday, the Education Ministry told Channel NewsAsia it will be working closely with the Al—Amin preschool at Tampines, after several teachers suddenly resigned, disrupting morning classes on Thursday.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) said this is so that operations at the kindergarten will return to normal as soon as possible.

MOE officers have visited the kindergarten to better understand the situation. About 200 children attend the school.

The ministry’s spokesperson said it understands the concerns of parents over the incident.

It said the kindergarten has put in the effort to manage the situation by deploying interim measures and ensuring the welfare of children was not compromised.

The ministry added the kindergarten is also actively engaging parents to address their concerns.
