SINGAPORE: The Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) has received feedback on cases involving the misuse of CDAC’s name to solicit funds from the public through door—to—door ice cream sales.

There were four cases reported in Jurong, West Coast, Hill View and Bukit Panjang since June this year.

The ice cream sellers claimed that they were raising funds for CDAC beneficiaries.

CDAC said that it did not authorise any party to raise funds for CDAC beneficiaries, and police have been alerted.

Should the public encounter any such ice cream sellers, they are advised to alert CDAC by calling the hotline: 6603 5599 or inform the police.
